Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

Chaotic weekend east-end streets,

Rarely sober and always skint.

No plan for tomorrow, we'd all be there.

Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

Today I woke up and changed the sheets,

Had a read of the news with a decent coffee,

Tried finding meaning in quantitative easing,

Fought the cat off the balcony, flicked Netflix for viewing

Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

We've run out of fags, who's doing the offy run?

"You can't go now, so and so is coming round,

We've been on it two days, he'll pull us around."

Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

I consider hangovers before the booze run,

And I've had this chat a thousand times before.

That new thing you're chancing is yesterday's news,

And anyway, tomorrow I've got shit to do.

Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

Will someone tell me where the old days have gone?

Post it up on your blog, write it down in a song.

This must be what they meant when they said "growing up",

Strike out every so often, in-between store it up.

Let love shine on whichever days you’re on.
